Honey Wounded?

Yesterday i got my bandages changed on my hand. yeah fine, clean it up, make sure there's no infection.. but what's really weird is that the nurse.. believe it or not, put a thick wod of honey on my wound. yes, that's right. Actual honey. It's been stinging ever since. Apparently, it's supposed to be good for healing skin. Just like they say it's good for colds and sore throats.. hey. maybe it'll be good against the bird flu that's around... no? well, it was just a thought.. ;)

But anyway. Today's been good so far. I've finished a chapter in my book and i'm getting through the next chapter well now. The plot thickens... ooooh. Oh, and I spoke to someone from school who i've hardly ever seen and never really talked to before. Can't msn be fun, eh? She's really cool and friendly. We talked for ages... longer than i ever get to talk to my friend, Emma. But, at least I have a friend. I have to be thankful for that.

But, apart from msning and writing my book, i've been lazing around pretty much. I can do whatever I want right now not only because of my hand, but because my mum said that I should write my book whenever I feel llike it, so I don't have to do anything when i'm writing. And guess what? I've been in the mood for writing for a while now... hehehehe.

But, I guess that in a week or so, i'll by back to slaving away... nah! I never slaved anyway. I've always been lazy. Could be to do with my weight. But, i'm gonna lose it now, so then it'll be ok. Now, back to my book... LoL

Juicy Fruiter

Juicy Fruiter

I sat down and had a good read of Juicy Fruiter. I was really interested. Being a Park Ranger seems to be an interesting job. I love the outdoors myself, and would want to protect it. Being a Park Ranger would be cool, but I can't do that right now, being as how I happen to live in a capital city, where the most nature you'll find is a small, unkempt little park with a polluted burn - fish died from the pollution a couple years ago - and lots of scheming little buggers who pull up plants, break trees and chase squirrels - my dad calls them tree rats - back up the trees or into corners.

Well, I suppose I could try something. Not too long ago though, a farmer gave up all his land to the public for their use. Very nice of him, I must admit. It's miles huge, well, perhaps two or three in diameter, but it's nice. Apparently, there's supposed to be foxes around there. There's some rabbits, and even a pheasant. Don't know where it came from, but who cares.

There used to be more rabbits and foxes around there when it was a proper farm, but since it was given up to the public, thugs and morons pile around there lighting fires, using drugs etc. There's a huge recycling/rubbish tip right next to the farm, but people still dump their unwanted goods all over the place. Everywhere I go, I see cookers, microwaves, hoovers, computers and general household rubbish strewn all over the ground. And to make it even worse, thugs drag cars or motorbikes into the farm and promptly set it on fire. There's almost always a fire in there, usually a vehicle. And these same thugs and more also come roaring into the place on motorbikes or quadbikes, ripping up the ground and plants and chasing rabbits and other animals. People like to walk through there because it's a nice place to be, surrounded by trees. But it's not safe any more.

But, it's even harder to get in there right now anyway, because the council are building allotments in one of the fields and the main entrance is constantly blocked by large machinery or closed off by gates. It wouldn't matter so much except for the bikers who taunt people and sometimes even throw things at people as they go past when you go in the secondary entrance up by the tip.

Maybe someone can give me some advice on what I can do. I don't have enough time to join one of these environmental groups, the major ones that is, but if I knew what to do, I might be able to do something myself when I get the time.

It just really bugs me that people can be so cruel to nature. Since reading Juicy Fruiter, I really feel more positive about doing what I can. I mean, the farm is actually just across the road from me, so all the damage people do that land is affecting my family, neighbours and I aswell. Burning fuel and everything. Pollution. Grrrr!

Ha. There I go, ranting on. What a moaner I can be. But, still. Any advice would be great. I could be a private Ranger. Or something like that. :)

Writing

Writing is the only escape for the soul

Heh. Don't ask me what that means. I just made it up. Not very creative I know, but I want to try.

See, i'm writing a novel. I started it early last year in school when I had a free period in Business Administration class. Two words entered my head, so I wrote them down, and the next thing I knew, I had written most of a chapter by the end of the class. The two words were:

"Raza sighed."

Corny I know. But, it started me on a whole novel, which i'm hoping to get published either this year or the next. I call it "Raza's Journey" just now, and i'm on chapter 11 just now. I don't know how long it's gonna be, so i'm just gonna keep going 'till I feel it's finished. My friends and ex-teachers - who are proof-reading it for me - think it's great so far. I just hope everyone else thinks so too. Well, at least enough people so I can maybe make a small profit from it. See, I want to go on a nice cruis in a couple of years - my mum and dads wedding anniversary. They said I could come along if I paid for myself - but I don't have the funds yet. Heh.

Anyway, I've always loved to write, but i've never gotten so far with something. I really think this was the right time and the right idea for me to write. I'll spill more about it later though, 'cos my hand really hurts. Ouch.

I went for 1hr 15m on the treadmill yesterday. I'm dead chuffed. And today, i feel really great. I thought I would be really tired or sore, but I feel brilliant! So, after brunch, I did another hour. And I still feel good. Must be the right time for me to lose this weight, eh?

Oh Crikey!

Hahahaha!

Has it really been so long? I can't believe how time flew!

I can hardly remember anything over the past near two years. I've been so busy and freaked out about exams in school. But, it's all over now, and I can start blogging again. I've missed being on here, and I missed the comments I got.

Oh, I had a brief look at the Park Rangers Blog and it looks interesting to see what life is like for a Park Ranger. But, i've not had time to read it all yet, but i'll get the time. Especially over the next few days anyway, 'cos I had an accident and don't have to do much around the house for the next few days.

See, i'm kinda overweight, like the rest of my family, but we, especially me, are determined to lose the weight and get fitter, so, we all chipped in for £475 to buy a motorized treadmill. Nothing fancy, just with time, adjustable speed, distance/calories display and a three programme function. It does the trick anyway.
Anyway, the day it was delivered, Friday, I decided to put the pieces together so I could use it, delighted as I was. And stupid me, I was doing great until it came to raising it up to put the arms on. Being the careless wonder I used to be - years ago, when I was younger - I lifted the wrong end. The motor end. I mean, I was being careful, I didn't put my hands to the sides in case an accident happened, I checked underneath and lifted from the middle. But, unbeknownst to me, it was on some kind of spring and it shot up in the air. The jerking movement somehow managed to send my hands to the sides and voila!! My left hand got trapped in between the motor and the bar to the side ands got dragged up with it. When I got my hand out, I was in agony. All the skin on my hand had been torn off from one end and shoved up to my fingers. Ouch! Blood everywhere.

So, I went to the Nurse at the local Doctors and got it seen to, but now I can't use that hand very much at all. I feel like such a baby now though because my mum has to cut my food up for me sometimes and I can't even help my poor old gran with her dishes for now. I sure do feel guilty about that.

Anyway, I passed my exams last year, and now i'm looking for a job. I managed to get a Christmas job, but only for four weeks. Heh, now i'm back to square one, and I can't even get the dole 'cos i'm apparently too young to. Grrrrr!

I did have a holiday this year, in March. Just for a week, and it was in Ireland, Dublin City. Mostly shopping, but there were some quite funny tours and a reasonably comfy hotel. Plus, my best friend came along with us. She had a laugh too. She'd never been to Ireland before and was excited even just to go the the main city. Me, I used to go to County Roscommon almost every year with family for usually two weeks at a time. but still, it's a nice place to go, especially if you don't want extreme weather.

But, I guess i'll report more tomorrow, and hey, maybe this time i'll manage to keep on top of the blog.

Adios amigos. Ciao.

#3 Uh...??

So.... I haven't updated for a few days... won't hurt... I don't have to update every day. I mean, it's nothing important likes... anyway

I really need to work on my comic more... the pictures are getting bad and faded when I scan 'em in. And the text still aint perfect.... so, yet again, I shall be moving onto computerised text again. Unbelievable. at least I gave pre-written text a go... I t was worth it I think. I'll practise more and try again at a future date. If you wanna check out my cartoon, click the link below:

Day #2 Bad Day

WoW! What a bad day I'M having! Well, it started out ok, that is, at 7:15 AM exactly. I woke up when the alarm went off, happy and cheery... don't know why... and, I slid over to my computer, still half asleep, and turned it on. I then, fumbled around till I found the *upload* button, pressed it, and my latest creation was born!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!! Um.... seriously now.
I checked everything was ok... it was, naturally. After that, I got washed and dressed and found that downstairs, in the kitchen.. there was a large puddle of piss on the floor. Guess who. Jasper, that's who. So, I cleaned that up, with the help of my mum who was downstairs before me. Then, I got some breakfast and drew some more comics. As you can see, it started out fine. I got up, had a bit of fun and then it was time for school. How horrible. I mean, why do I have to go into that place to learn, when I can do just as well at home, but without the bullies and complete and utter prats.
Anyway, after about 10 minutes into my tutor period, I realised that 1. I didn't have my Geography homework 2. I didn't have my stuff for art class which I wanted to bring and 3. I didn't have a note for P.E. so that I could get out of it and be lazy.... nah, i'm not lazy, just I have a lot of bother in that class. Again, the prats. So... it went all downhill from there. Got moaned at by teachers and by other students as per usual... I think i've cheered up a bit just now, but I don't exactly know what's going to happen next. I'll update again later on today...

Day #1. What to say...

To say something unique is a challenge indeed

To say the least, my life is not one of the most exiting lives of all time. I do have my dramatic moments... but they don't come all the time. I'm a semi-average kid I suppose, apart from all my major differences. Like, my attitude, people say i'm very mature and grown up for my age, which is 15 by the way. I can't recall the last time someone told me I was acting very immature and that I should grow up... I think I already have grown up.

It just occured to me this morning, that for some reason, I have always been in the top classes in school for my whole life, without even trying to do overly well. I just go into school, work away as i'm told and then go home. I come back the next day and get commended for my excellent work in class and for homework. I know... boring boring boring... it's not very exiting. But, what if I said I didn't care what anyone else thought. That I don't expect loads of people to flock to my page every day to read my entries of a boring life and find it absolutely fascinating and awe inspiringly captivating. Did I ever say I wanted or expected that? No... well then.. Course, there's no one stopping you from coming along for a browsy read even if you don't actually pay attention to any of the words.

To be honest, that happens to me a lot. If in school, a teacher asks us all to pair up or go into teams to perform tasks, I have to get placed in a group by the teacher 'cos no one wants to know me.. well, they do, but they don't want to. anyway, they always ignore me and what i've got to say, no matter how right or relevant it is to the task. They'd prefer to get it all wrong than pay attention to what I say. Well, their loss I guess. But, today, I luckily didn't have to pair up or group with anyone. That was a big relief. I always hate it when I have to.

Anyway, my dog, Jasper, who's a croos between a labrador and a collie, loves to play with computers believe it or not. No, seriously! He claws at the keyboard when he gets the chance... but he also thinks he can play by chewing the wires to pieces... very dangerous indeed. I hopefully trained him not to do that. bless his little soul..

But, tomorrow, you can, if you want, come back again for another fun-filled adventure in "A Daring Day In The Life Of..." Hahahahahaha
